An effective PR assistant is instrumental in supporting the PR manager and wider PR team with a whole host of tasks and responsibilities. In addition to their fundamental PR tasks, they’ll often assist with writing blogs, managing social media communications and helping with events co-ordination.
A PR assistant will monitor industry news and competitor brands and likely conduct market research, as well as create and evaluate press coverage for the business. A creative thinker, they will constantly be looking for new ways and ideas to promote the business. A regular component of their role will be writing, proofreading and uploading content so they’ll need to be technically proficient and comfortable using a CMS.
