Finance Officer (Western Educated)

My client is looking for a seasoned finance professional, they are an investment management company located in DIFC that has been deeply rooted in the region since 2007.

General Responsibilities:

• Supervision: Take charge of the finance department, providing leadership and guidance.
• Financial Transactions: Oversee all regular financial transactions with precision and accuracy.
• Strategic Planning: Lead the annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives.
• Core Finance Function: Manage all aspects of the core finance function from start to finish.
• Operational Support: Provide management reporting and operational support to various departments as needed, such as compliance, risk, HR, and operations.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Assistant Finance Manager or Finance Manager roles.
• Regulatory Exposure: Prior experience with regulatory reporting, ideally within a financial services environment. Previous work with DFSA/DIFC is highly preferred.
• Deadline-Driven: Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, delivering results with precision under tight deadlines.
• IT Proficiency: Excellent skills in Excel and Word are essential.
• Certifications: CPA or CA certification is required, with additional certifications such as CFA considered advantageous.
• Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in Funds/Asset Management/Investment banking or similar financial services industries is necessary.

• Pressure Management: Ability to remain composed and perform effectively under pressure.
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide team members towards shared objectives.
