The Vice President, Strategy is responsible for ensuring the CEO can most effectively execute on his priorities across the firm internally and externally. The focus of the role will be on ensuring that the CEO’s strategic goals are properly transcribed for internal circulation, that the CEO is prepared to best engage with internal and external audiences, and managing ad hoc priorities for the CEO as they emerge.

Internally, the Vice President will support the CEO in articulating, developing, and executing Safanad’s corporate and portfolio-level strategies. Responsibilities include preparing materials that reflect the CEO’s intended input or feedback, coordinating with key internal participants to mobilize the firm, and tracking key projects as they move to completion. The priority is ensuring that the firm is fully aware of and able to deliver against the CEO’s vision for Safanad.

The Vice President will also be responsible for ensuring the CEO is prepared and can best engage with external audiences. This will include preparing meeting briefs for upcoming meetings, maintain and enhance the CEO’s profile materials, and then accompanying the CEO to external meetings to ensure takeaways and action items are properly noted, tracked, and followed-up on. The Vice President will be expected to accompany the CEO to meetings in Riyadh and across the GCC region.

Lastly, the Vice President will be expected to manage and execute on ad-hoc priorities of the CEO as they emerge. This could include support for Board Meetings, supporting the work of the Bahamdan Foundation, or evaluating non-core investment opportunities.

To support all of this, the Vice President will work closely with the CEO’s Office Manager and Senior Executive Assistant, who will be responsible predominantly for the administrative activities involved in day-to-day management of the CEO.

•Support the CEO in ensuring the firm internally is fully aware of and can execute against the CEO’s vision
•Prepare written materials or draft comments to materials that reflect the CEO’s intended input or feedback
•Ensure priorities are set and maintained, mobilize the firm to execute against those priorities, and proactively identify and flag potential challenges
•Support CEO in developing internally-focused written communications (i.e., emails, presentations, board documents, etc.)
•Ensure the CEO is prepared to engage with external audiences
•Manage, plan, and facilitate CEO meetings by preparing meeting briefs as needed, articulating objectives for each meeting, document notes and action items, ensuring follow-through
•Maintain the CEO’s profile materials including biographies and collateral, ensure it is routinely updated for circulation
•Support the CEO in developing externally-focused written communications (i.e., emails, presentations, board documents, decks, etc.)
•Support the Office Manager in ensuring all notes and takeaways are properly recorded in the CRM and in maintaining and enhancing the CEO strategic relationship map
•Manage and execute on ad hoc CEO priorities as they emerge Skills/Competencies

•Critical thinker with sound business judgement and ability to take a commercial view from an economic and business perspective
•Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee the advancement of multiple high-priority initiatives of varying timelines, with minimal direction
•Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills
•A strategic and analytical thinker who can present data and recommendations clearly and concisely
•Detail-oriented, organized and driven by efficiency
•Confident, open-minded, and eager to grow in the role alongside the CEO
•Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-driven mindset
•Drives and demonstrates the Safanad Values and plays a key role in embedding Firm culture
•Saudi national; bilingual English and Arabic required Required Education/Experience

•Top Tier University graduate
•5+ years of relevant experience in business strategy and communications, whether in consulting, financial communications, or another relevant field
