Senior Accountant

We are searching for a Senior Accountant to join the accounting team at a leading Insurance institute.

Your task

• Collaboration in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for various business units (closing work)
• Responsibility for individual business areas/business units
• Payment of insurance benefits
• Posting and reconciliation of bank accounts
• Reconciliation of general and subsidiary ledgers
• Preparation of tax returns (including VAT, stamp duty and income tax)
• Assistance with the preparation for internal and external audits
• Preparation of statutory reporting (Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA - annually)
• Collaboration in projects, such as automation and IT migrations, testing of applications/systems
• Execution and review of ICS controls

You have

• Business administration training (Bachelor's level, specialising in accounting or finance or KV with corresponding further training in accounting/finance - or still in further training)
• Very good knowledge of the MS Office suite
• German mother tongue or very good language skills
• Very good knowledge of English (additional language skills an advantage)
• Team spirit and pleasure in dealing with numbers and people
• Careful, independent way of working combined with quick comprehension; ability to work under pressure and a pronounced
