What is an employment agency in US?

An employment agency connects employers and jobseekers. This involves taking a job brief from an employer and then sourcing a shortlist of candidates who match the experience, skillset and values that they need. An employment agency will screen resumes, organize interviews, take references and help candidates to find the right employer for them. The jobs might be temporary, contract or permanent.

Are recruitment agencies worth it?
