runners, motivation, man and woman running

Ruth practised as a criminal barrister for ten years, before falling pregnant with twins. Instead of resting on her laurels, she spent the time writing a humorous self-help book called ‘Run Fat Bitch Run’, in which her alter ego, The Grit Doctor, pulled no punches. The book became the number one bestselling book in Ireland for 24 weeks and was a Sunday Times top 10 bestseller.

She has since become a fortnightly columnist for The Irish Times and written two further books in a similar vein, ‘Get Your Shit Together’ and ‘Cut the Crap’, which tackle lifestyle and food respectively.

Ruth understands that running generates a fantastic space in which to create and problem solve.

She can take your principal through their paces (while talking them through their paces). With the expertise to help with both practical running advice and life decisions, she is best-placed to encourage and advise on personal and professional growth.
