Business Analyst - With Disaster recovery experience

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst for a 12 month contract with a leading Insurance company based in Zurich. The chosen candidate will will ensure alignment between technical capabilities and business needs, facilitating smooth coordination between departments during Disaster Recovery planning and testing. 

Responsibilities and Deliveries Business:

•Requirements Gathering:
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze requirements for disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Translate business priorities into clearly defined DR requirements, aligning the strategy with organizational goals. - Engage with departments to identify critical business functions and their dependency on IT systems. Disaster Recovery Planning:
• Define and establish appropriate Backup / Restore, RTO (Recovery Time Objectives) and RPO (Recovery Point Objectives), ensuring they meet business expectations and industry standards.
• Develop and execute Disaster Recovery testing plans, including tabletop exercises and real-world scenario-based tests.
• Create clear, actionable runbooks outlining step-by-step procedures for recovery, designed for both technical teams and business users. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing large, complex projects focused on Backup / Restore, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, or IT service continuity.
• Demonstrated success in gathering and managing requirements for projects that involve both business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Experience working on cloud-based projects and familiarity with IT infrastructure from a business perspective is an advantage. Business Continuity & DR Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of BCP, RTO, RPO, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience in planning and executing Disaster Recovery tests and validating
• Fluent in German and technical level English
