Executive Media Analyst, Venture Capital – Menlo Park, CA

Our client, a global venture capital firm, is currently hiring for an Executive Media Analyst to join their bright and highly motivated team in the foundation/non-profit side of the business.  The role will suit someone who is enthusiastic and detail oriented, with an intellectual curiosity.  This is a hybrid-working role, ideally based 2 days per week out of their Menlo Park, CA office.

Primary responsibilities include:

Media Reporting/Analyzing (50%):

• Monitor media surround the venture capital firm and it’s portfolio companies
• Produce daily reports and weekly PowerPoint presentations based upon web-based research and media sources
• Work alongside their PR firm
• Act as main point of contact for coordination of press releases, including social media posts and
• publication to website

Executive Assistant to Director of Operations (20%)

• Calendar and schedule management
• Coordination of meetings and engagements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Anticipate needs of Executive, ensuring he is prepared/briefed for meetings
• Sometimes acting as gatekeeper for Executive

Travel Coordination and Bookings (15%)

• Arrange travel and accommodations logistics for executives and designated parties
• Work closely with external travel agency
• Record keeping of travel expenses

Planning Events/Conferences (10%)

• Provide coordination and logistics support to their large annual event, as well as all other symposiums, gatherings and meetings

Ad Hoc Tasks and Project Assignments (5%)

Requirements:

• Must be able to work across different time zones and be readily available, including working
• nights and weekends as needed
• 4-year degree or relevant experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in administrative role with high-level executives in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with employees at all levels to create a collaborative work environment and collegial culture.
• Highly capable at web-based research and report writing
