Upper West Side Nanny

Wonderful opportunity for an experienced Nanny!
 
A lovely and hospitable family living in Manhattan are hiring for a full time Nanny as they welcome a new addition to their family of 3 (soon to be 4!). They currently have one boy under 3 years old and their daughter is due in the spring. They are hands on parents who need some additional help as their family grows.  There is one other Nanny, as well as other household staff. They are looking for someone with experience in a multi child home, preferably with a new born and toddler – they will have a night nurse for the first three months.
 
The Role
As their full time Nanny, you would be working alongside their other long-term Nanny, and working days would be either Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday, though they do require someone to be flexible with their days/hours.  You will be guaranteed a full working week with possible over time as needed, and they would like someone who lives in a close commuting distance of the Upper West Side, with willingness to stay overnight if needed.  The toddler is in pre-school Monday to Friday from 9AM – 4PM, and is enrolled in many after school activities (all within a short walking distance of the family home), so you would be required to ensure he is where he needs to be at all times.   
 
Duties Include

• Taking and picking up from preschool
• Organization of children’s rooms and schedules
• Creating a safe and stimulating environment for the child
• Taking child to and from after school activities – all within proximity to apartment
• Traveling with family
• Overnight stays as needed
• Ensuring children eat healthy and balanced meals
• Bedtime routines

The Candidate
The perfect candidate will be easy going, as well as proactive and organized.  You will be happy to busy yourself when the family want to have more intimate family time, and have a no-job-too-small attitude when it comes to ensuring that everything is left neat and tidy at the end of each day (they do also have daily housekeeping!).  You will have experience in a multi child household, and be willing to work alongside the parents who want to be the key decision-makers.  You will be flexible with your schedule, as well as being willing to travel nationally and internationally with the family.
