Are you based in Luxembourg and work as an Accountant in the Financial/Fund sector? This is a highly interesting finance opportunity with a renowned private equity firm in central Luxembourg. Our client is a dynamic, mid-market private equity firm with offices in Luxembourg, London and other European cities. We are looking for a professional and driven candidate to join their growing and thriving team. This role has an interesting range of responsibilities and great progression potential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
As an integral part of the finance team you will deliver a range of objectives to ensure that the day to day finance function runs smoothly with a high level of accuracy and delivery on deadlines. You will work closely with the Finance Senior Manager and support in various activities for investment-related SPVs.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Provide assistance to the accounting department in evaluating the annual financial statements.
- Help maintain and update monthly management accounts and their associated schedules.
- Aid in the review of invoices and coordinate with relevant service providers.
- Support the assessment of payment processes and cash flow management.
- Assist in monitoring and updating Interest Free Loans.
- Gain an understanding of the fund’s operational structure, including aspects related to cash flow, accounting, taxation, and reporting.
- Contribute to the daily review and management of deal-related tasks in collaboration with advisors, applying the learned concepts.
Key Competencies and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in financial services, preferably related to Alternative Investment / Private Equity Funds in Luxembourg
- Understanding of Lux GAAP and IFRS, as well as Private Equity Fund structures
- Methodical; excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Enthusiastic and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Excellent project management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines
- Strong English communication skills both verbal and written (any additional European languages a bonus)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
