Our client a prestigious private equity firm are seeking a Real Estate Analyst to join their London office. Your role will be to perform research and analyse new potential opportunities and produce clear summaries to enable decision making.

You must exhibit excellent analytical skills, qualified or experienced real estate analyst, and attention to detail. Ability to source opportunities according to our companies’ criteria is also required. You will then provide a complete analysis of the opportunities sourced. The right candidate will join our team initially as a self-employed contractor/consultant.

Duties Include:

  • Reporting directly to the Partner
  • To perform due diligence, financial modelling and valuation of opportunities
  • Provide transaction analysis and risk identification and mitigation strategies
  • Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) techniques
  • Conducting due diligence on potential investments
  • Perform distribution waterfalls and bespoke calculations for LPs, where required
  • To research and source new projects according to firm criteria
  • Analyse security performance
  • Develop forecasts and projections
  • Provide literature for road shows and investor prospecting
  • Monitor industry trends and news
  • Prepare internal and external Reports for financial reporting

Required skills:

  • Analytical thinking – experience assessing financial data and using it to make informed decisions based on performance metrics
  • Market knowledge – thorough knowledge of real estate transactions
  • Data modelling – understand a variety of data-modelling techniques and should be able to prepare reports and presentations that present useful and actionable data
  • Trendspotting –to notice, track, and analyse trends and opportunities and determine how to strategically invest to capitalize on growing or untapped sectors according to the firm’s rationale Good understanding of Debt and Equity Modelling
  • Ability to explain Property issues to non-Property Individuals
  • Ability to work with Property Professionals
  • Proven ability of working under pressure
  • Strong IT skills
  • Communication skills – strong communicators, able to succinctly present data and information to investors and advisors in both verbal and written formats
  • Highly efficient in using Excel, power point and word
  • Understanding and interest in the Private Equity/finance industry
  • Must be presentable and smart
