Private Equity Fund Accountant

London (West End) SALARY: £50,000 - £60,000 PER: Annum TERM: Permanent

Our client is a mid-market private equity firm based in London's West End. They are growing rapidly and launching new funds. They boast an impressive portfolio of companies across the UK and Europe. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join the finance function in their London head office. What You Will Do 

As a key member of the fund accounting team, you will work closely with the manager and senior team members. Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Review of financial information produced by the administrators, analysing movements and understanding any unexpected variances
  • Produce a range of investor reports on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Responding to investor requests, working closely with the investor relations team
  • Supporting the valuations function and working with the investment professionals to report on portfolio company performance
  • Support the management of the year-end audit and respond to auditor queries
  • Work with the team to continuously enhance processes to build a best in class finance function
  • A range of ad-hoc responsibilities supporting finance, investor relations and the investment teams

What We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will be ACA qualified with around 12 months post qualification experience. We are ideally looking for someone from a Big-4 audit practice.

  • Excellent business writing skills
  • Good analytical skills and lateral problem-solving ability
  • High attention to detail
  • Tech-savvy - advanced Excel and aptitude for picking up new systems
  • Excellent time management skills - able to prioritise and manage a heavy workload
