People Advisor & Lead

London (Greater) SALARY: £35,000 - £38,000 PER: Annum TERM: Permanent

Our client, an established education provider is looking for a passionate People Lead to join their HR team. This is a fabulous opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career of managing a team. The organisation offers a hybrid working model, with Mondays and Wednesdays working from their lovely Notting Hill offices and three days working from home.
Role & Responsibilities:

  • Direct line management and training of 2 people officers
  • Overseeing compliance in relation to GDPR, DBS, right to work checks, safeguarding and escalating breaches to line manager where necessary
  • Take lead on ensuring accuracy of payroll and pension data imputed into systems
  • Regularly review policies, procedures, and manuals via HRIS and LMS, working closely with HR Business Partners
  • Provide advice to managers and employees on HR related matters, managing escalated cases with senior HR
  • Work closely with senior HR in rolling out projects, updates in policies and procedures to ensure alignment across board
  • Create and design tools for relevant internal training

Key Skills & Experience required:

  • Previous line management experience
  • Proven experience working with HR
  • Strong understanding of payroll and pension management
  • Be process and system driven
  • Confidence in using MS Excel
  • Ability to work at a pace
