London (Greater) SALARY: £35,000 - £45,000 PER: Annum TERM: Permanent

A busy family based in Hampstead Heath are looking for a Governess.

The successful candidate should be an experienced Nanny, with a background in looking after children of school age.

This will predominantly be a Monday-Friday position.

On occasion there may be an option for additional weekend work, for which over-time will be paid.

Hours of work will typically be 4pm-9pm. There may also be the opportunity for babysitting duties in addition to the agreed number of hours, but this is paid on top of the nanny’s agreed salary.

Main responsibilities:

*Confer with parents to determine their specific requirements for childminding, based on each child’s specific needs.

*Engage children in conversation to determine their specific likes and dislikes and gauge their individual personalities.

*Organize the children’s timetable to include study, activities, and sensible rest periods

*Assist children with their homework and any special school projects.

*Prepare the children for school assessments/exams

*Taking and collecting the children to/from school

*Liaise with the children’s teachers at school

*Over-see children’s activities.

*Teach manners and social etiquette

*Arrange for a safe and secure environment for them.

*Monitor children to ensure their physical and emotional well-being.

*Ensure that all assigned children follow set rules and regulations for play and study.

*Assure that the environment is conducive to learning and comfort.

*Organize and take the children to educational outings, museums, art galleries, the theatre and sporting activities.

*Provide solid feedback to parents regarding their children’s abilities and limitation.

*Offer suggestions for improvements

*Taking to after-school clubs

*Planning and supervising activities at home with children

*Planning and serving snacks to children

*Engaging children with games and different activities

*Organizing and supervising playdates for children, supporting their social development

This role can be taken as either a live-in or live-out position, depending on candidates requirements.
