Nanny – Wonderful Family in Austin, TX!

Our client, a super welcoming and sweet family of 5 in West Austin, Texas are looking to add a Nanny to their home. The children are 3 girls, ages 3, 5 and 8. The parents are very involved in the girls lives but who just need an extra set of hands to best accommodate their family.

The Role
The role is Monday – Friday 12pm-6pm, with one night per week needed for babysitting (but notice will be given 3 days beforehand). The mom is a stay-at-home mom who is very involved in the children’s school and other volunteer activities/committees while the dad works from home. As the girls are getting older, they are looking for someone who is able to give that extra one-on-one care for the girls and can contribute to their development. They are also looking for someone who is comfortable with doing household tasks such as cleaning, housekeeping and laundry along with grocery shopping for the family with preparation of the children’s meals.

Duties Include

• Personalized / one-on-one care for each of the girls
• Contribution to a safe, nurturing and stimulation environment so that the girls thrive and develop
• Keeping the children’s areas clean and tidy
• Grocery shopping for the family
• Meal preparation for the children
• Transportation of the children to and from school, activities and appointments
• Additional household tasks which include, cleaning, cooking, housekeeping and laundry
• Staying with the children overnight when the parents are out of town
• Willing to travel with the family if requested

The Candidate
Their perfect candidate would be someone who has 3+ years of childcare experience, with a high school diploma, GED or a suitable equivalent. Has proficient knowledge of home safety and first aid, and also has a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and proficient driving skills. Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and privacy. As you will be taking care of 3 children they are looking for outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities. They really want someone who loves to work with children, can be active and outdoorsy/playful with them, feels comfortable being an excellent communicator both with the parents and the children. Is calm, grounded and patient, flexible and reliable along with punctual as schedules will be on the busier side. They are looking for someone who will be the perfect role model for their girls and who will want to stay with them for the long run.
