Linux System Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Linux System Engineer for the One Investment Platform of my clients bank.
The platform is a strategic solution at the bank for investment products and client portfolio management in Switzerland, EMEA, and APAC. The system is currently a multi-tier resilient enterprise cluster implemented with a mix of open source, vendor, and the bank's proprietary technologies. 15+ applications are based on a Platform which includes technologies like RHEL, Spring Stack, Container Runtime, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Ignite, Oracle, Ansible, Eclipse RCP, React, Angular, Prometheus/Grafana.
We're looking for someone like that to help us:
- Maintain and upgrade existing Platform OS integration components
- Drive RHEL migration journey
- Development of Ansible playbooks for release rollouts and operational purposes
- Enhancement of existing Platform service implementations
- Contribute to the Platform Modernization
- Provide 3rd Level Support of production environments
Your team:
Investing is a multinational organization inside the bank responsible for building and supporting the One Investment Platform, with the core team in Switzerland. You will work in Platform Team. You will be a part of an agile team of professionals, working in a close collaboration with technical experts of 15+ applications and operations. It is a very demanding, fast paced, and exciting environment.
Your expertise:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience as Linux system engineer for complex applications
- Experience with Apache/Tomcat on UNIX/Linux environment working experience following technologies as a plus: Kafka, ZooKeeper, Elasticsearch, Ignite
- Perl skills would be a plus
- Exposure to Java technologies would be a plus
- Working experience with Agile methodologies
- Working knowledge in tools such as GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
