Kitchen Manager

I am currently looking to recruit an experienced Kitchen Manager to work for a primary school situated in the vibrant borough of Hackney.

This is initially a temporary position to start as soon as possible. The role can become permanent after the first term.

The salary range is £29,364 - £30,852, which corresponds to £15/hour + £1.81/hour holiday pay while temporary.

This role also offers fantastic work-life balance: the working hours are 7.30am - 3.45pm.

Closest tube station: Dalston Kingsland

The ideal candidate has proven experience in a similar role and environment and must have a valid enhanced DBS check.

The duties of the role include but are not limited to:

• Planning, executing, and supervising the production and service of school meals and other catering requirements. This is an hands on role that will require preparing food with the team as well.
• Leading by example and managing the catering unit ensuring standards of food hygiene and high-quality meals are delivered.
• Organising the catering establishment in accordance with the required standards and statutory regulations.
• Participating to wider school activities relating to the catering service, nutritional values and education and food technology.
