Fund Accountant

A leading investment fund is currently recruiting for a Fund Accountant to join their London-based team. WHAT YOU WILL DO

Working closely with the fund administrators and accounting teams this role is first and foremost to provide greater internal oversight on both daily financial operations and wider investment portfolio operations. It presents a strong opportunity to shape the role, playing a pivotal part in the smooth running of the finance department. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the accounting of investment vehicles as prepared by service providers
• Support the audit of funds in various jurisdictions
• Review of quarterly NAVs and investor statements
• Review of financial statements
• Management fee calculations
• Reviewing distribution calculations
• Develop knowledge of tax and compliance requirements across jurisdictions
• Compliance reporting and regulatory filings
• Respond to investor queries about their holdings, performance, distributions
• General oversight of internal controls and financial risk management

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE

• Newly or part-qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA)
• 3 years of experience preferably in private equity or venture capital
• Knowledge of fund structures, products, and instruments highly advantageous
• Strong organisation skills with the ability to think proactively and spot opportunities for efficiency
• Ability to show initiative and be proactive rather than reactive
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

WHAT YOU WILL GET

• £40,000-£50,000 per annum
