Financial Controller, up to £40,000 – Great Yarmouth!

I am looking for a full or part-time experienced Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, consolidations, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation.

As a member of the Management Team, reporting to the Chief Executive, the role will also include the development of internal financial and commercial control policies and procedures and include responsibility for commercial, contractual, secretarial, insurance, and pension matters.


  • Ensuring that the financial processes, systems, and controls are operating effectively
  • Maintaining statutory records for the business
  • Responsibility for the relationship with the Company Accountants
  • Budget preparation
  • All aspects of bookkeeping and the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Presentation of weekly reports
  • Management of all accounting records and payroll on Sage 50c
  • Daily management of cash flow
  • Nominal Ledger - bank reconciliations
  • Sales Ledger - customer invoices
  • Purchase Ledger - purchase invoices
  • Salaries - Sage Cloud 50 payroll
  • VAT and other returns to HMRC Budgets and cash flow forecasts Year-end accounts
  • Annual Returns
  • Pension arrangements
  • Insurance arrangements


  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Good understanding of PAYE and VAT
  • 4+ years’ experience at the Financial Controller level
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process

  • Experience in all aspects of financial management, control, budgeting, payroll, cash flow forecasting, business development, system implementation, process improvements, cost control, and efficiency
