Financial Controller

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic litigation funder based in the City of London.  The company is looking to recruit a skilled Financial Controller who will manage financial operations, support strategic decision-making and contribute to the overall success of the business.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations
• Liaise with external accountants to ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quaterly  and annual financial statements.
• Build financial models to support decision-making and strategic planning
• Design and implement pricing strategies for potential investments
• Financial portfolio management
• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:

• Qualified Accountant (ICAEW or ACCA)
• Prior experience of working within the financial services industry or in a startup / high growth SME.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in financial software, particularly Xero and Pleo.
• Advanced Excel skills, with experience of using Power BI preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
