Job Summary:

We are seeking an Emirati Finance Trainee to join the Finance team of an International Engineering Company. In this role, you will engage in general accounting tasks, maintain the department's general ledger, and conduct financial analysis to support our team in managing and interpreting financial data. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates or those with minimal experience to develop their careers in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Requirements:

  • Nationality: UAE National
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimal relevant professional work experience or a fresh graduate in the field of study

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Transactions: Analyze, record, and report accounting transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • General Ledger & Reconciliation: Prepare entries and reconcile accounts to maintain ledger accuracy.
  • Financial Reporting Support: Respond to inquiries from management, auditors, and regulatory groups concerning financial results and reports.
  • Confidentiality: Safeguard organizational information by maintaining strict confidentiality standards.

Competencies:

  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP):
    Evaluate and apply GAAP standards to ensure all transactions are recorded in compliance with requirements and internal policies; communicate these standards to stakeholders effectively.
  • Financial Regulations Acumen:
    Stay informed on relevant financial regulations (e.g., tax, banking, pension, local accounting). Interpret and apply regulations to ensure compliance, explaining the purpose and impact to business stakeholders.
  • Financial Internal Controls:
    Use our internal control framework to assess and enhance internal controls, addressing financial reporting risks and adapting to changing business needs.
  • Financial Analysis:
    Analyze financial data, trends, and variances to provide insights for business improvement. Communicate conclusions and corrective actions clearly to all stakeholders.
  • Action-Oriented:
    Approach new opportunities and challenges with enthusiasm, energy, and urgency.
  • Self-Development:
    Demonstrate a commitment to personal growth by actively seeking learning opportunities through both formal and informal development channels.
