Finance Manager (Maternity Cover)
London (West End) SALARY: £35,000 - £38,000 PER: Annum TERM: Contract
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading British structural engineering company which has completed a diverse portfolio of award-winning projects. Based in central London, you will be part of a small, friendly and hard-working team.
The company follows a hybrid model, with flexibility to work from home 2 days a week once training is completed. The company will also consider PART-TIME candidates who can commit to work for 4 days every week.
Reporting to two Directors, the role includes a combination of Finance and Administrative duties, however, the majority will be Finance.
FINANCE:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Managing Sales Ledger
- Monthly sales invoicing
- Project fee info logging
- Liquid Threshold – purchase payment processing
- Timesheet processing & reporting (inc. R&D timesheets)
- Debtor reviews
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Managing Purchase Ledger
- Invoice processing
- Expense processing
- Credit card statement processing
- Reviewing Purchase Orders & outstanding orders
- Petty cash month end reconciliations
- service charge logs and rent receipt processing for a property owned by the company
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Managing General Ledger
- Bank Rec (GBP, Reserve Acc, USD, EUR, & PayPal)
- Month end closing – Sales and Purchase Ledgers
- Monthly reporting
- Control accounts & management accounts
- Prepayment Schedules of ongoing contracts
- VAT submissions
- Assist with R&D submission
- Sage updates, maintenance and journals
- Director Loan and Reserve Account Records and Reporting
- Keeping notes of developments for year end processing

ADMINISTRATION: (will work closely with the Office Administrator)
- Staff Contracts
- Personnel Record Management
- Payroll (inc. AE Pensions) - liaising monthly with external accountants
- UKBA Applications
- Assist with HR matters
- Assist with induction of new employees
- Maintaining holiday and sickness records
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
- Solid bookkeeping experience
- Previous experience in a similar industry is desirable (ie understanding project billing)
- Prior experience using SAGE would be highly desirable
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
SALARY:
- 35k-38k per annum depending on experience (will be prorated for 6 months)
