An urgent and amazing opportunity to relocate to the British Virgin Islands.  To inspire existing kitchen chefs who want to learn and produce new menus using freshly grown produce.  To ensure the clients of this boutique and exclusive hotel keep on returning time and time again.  How wonderful to pick your own vegetables and fruit and cook them that day!

The Role

This is such a rare and unique opportunity to transport yourself on to one of the worlds most beautiful Islands.  This boutique hotel, based in the British Virgin Islands, accommodates up to 38 guests is truly idyll.  We are looking for an Executive Chef to run & manage the kitchen.  It’s a relatively small team consisting of a pastry chef, 2 local Chefs, a sous Chef and some dishwashers.  This new Executive Chef must relish the opportunity to produce new menus and to give the clientele the joy of the home-grown fruit, veg and herbs that are grown in the Hotels’ orchard - a farm to table experience. The other chefs will be looking for leadership, for additional training and for a collaborative approach to deciding on daily/weekly menus.  It’s a true opportunity to really make your mark.  You must have run a kitchen in a hotel or restaurant previously.

Duties Include

  • Menu planning & preparation
  • Managing the kitchen staff
  • Generating new ways of making the clients stay on the island truly memorable
  • Motivating the team to improve and develop their knowledge of modern cooking & techniques
  • Create extraordinary food
  • Farm to table experience is preferable

The Candidate

  • A chef from a 5* Hotel, Restaurant or private household
  • An inspirational coach
  • Variety of cuisines & techniques
  • This would be a next step up for an existing Chef
  • Good level of spoken English


  • Flights to the island
  • Accommodation single bedroom, bathroom and a remarkable view
  • All meals included
  • Work permit included
  • Work 5 days on and 2 days off
  • Hours 6am until 2.30pm break until 5.30pm-9pm finish service
  • $65,000 per annum
