A fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and organised assistant to join a Membership organisation in an Events & Projects focused role. Working as part of a small team, the Events/Projects Assistant will be working closely with the Managing Director in a very busy and demanding position. The sucessful candidate will enjoy working with autonomy, under pressure to meet tight deadlines and ensure high standards at met - strong attention to detail is essential! This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant who is looking to build on their existing experience is an event focused role and enjoys taking on different projects.  You will be confident interacting at all levels and possess excellent communications skills. This role offers remote working, with the expectation to work two days a month from their London office in the City. Hours 9am - 5pm.
 

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the full events cycle
  • Have sole responsibility for all conference and event registrations
  • Monitor via email, website and keep up to date reporting schedules
  • Promote forthcoming events
  • Support membership renewal process
  • Liaise with event sponsors
  • Distribution of weekly newsletter using Mailchimp
  • Manage all company social media platforms and website, maintaining the company account
  • Working closely with the CEO and Managing Director to coordinate quarterly board meetings
  • Work closely with the finance manager – generating invoices
  • Research and collate event and participant data to present at the quarterly meetings
  • The primary point of contact for all external suppliers
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects

 

What you’ll need:

  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal & written
  • Enjoy using initiative and prioritising tasks
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong MS office skills
  • Educated to degree level
