This is a really exciting and rare opportunity to support the Founder/CEO of a FTSE AIM business; a company who look for people who are commercially aware, with a can-do attitude, the ability to work with minimal direction whilst being approachable and warm, but also very professional and client facing.

The current EA describes her boss as really down to earth, very entrepreneurial, exciting to work for and very inspirational. He also has high expectations and likes to see work carried out with precision and care.

Hours are typically 8 am – 5 pm and although the workload is very busy, there is little to no expectation to be working later. There may very occasionally be the request to work outside of the standard hours for urgent needs, but this often comes with the nature of supporting individuals at this level.

They have impressive offices in Paddington (on the Elizabeth line), complete with breakout areas, an onsite gym and bar. This role will be office-based 4 days per week, with 1 day working from home. The work from home day will likely vary dependent on the CEO, but there could be discussions for it to be the set same day each week if needed.

This maternity cover is expected to begin mid-February 2023 and will be for an 8-month period.

What you’ll do:

  • Diary management – coordinating schedules, meetings and appointments
  • Inbox management – monitor, delete and respond where appropriate
  • Meeting management - scheduling, preparing rooms and documentation, taking minutes and highlighting action points/ensuing follow up where required
  • Relationship management / point of contact – internal and external ensuring highest levels of service at all times
  • Managing logistics for all travel arrangements, including visas and any necessary paperwork, itineraries and agendas, ensuring travel is seamless including for the board for international board meetings
  • Events management – ad-hoc
  • Preparing monthly expense claims
  • Assisting with the preparation of reports and presentations and proofreading
  • Ad hoc project work
  • Ad hoc private assistance and liaison as required
  • Invoice payments for private business interests
