Digital Product Officer

Middle East SALARY: 12,000 AED - 19,000 AED PER: Month TERM: Permanent

This role
• Works closely with the Product Manager and suppliers to execute strategies
• Writes user stories and ticket requirements, understands the product life cycle and carries out the optimization tool roadmap.
• Analyzes market conversion tools and performance in order to avail informed recommendations for the product. The Product Officer frequently audits competitor activity, tools usage and best practice software in order to provide the business’s product with a competitive edge on conversion tools.
• Maximize exposure of the tools and its value with our stakeholders and brand teams
• Expert user in our tools holds and shares knowledge to expand tool capabilities across global teams and increase revenue generating opportunities.
• Runs and delivers product improvements and roadmap also accountable for executing on the strategies and setting them up in Dynamic Yield (or similar conversion tool).
• Uses qual and quant insights, and data research to drive idea generation and decision making.
• Experience building and shipping applications or software of features/products that encompass optimization strategies.
• Has experience of going through a full product lifecycle, from requirements, driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution as well as reporting.
• Advocate for your platforms internally and externally and play a delivery role in enhancing product functionality.
• Create, maintain, and communicate clearly in your project remit, working with the relevant colleagues to ensure wider cross project delivery
• Is highly technical and organised.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Business Analysis Execution
• Manage business expectations for scope
• Manage business during meeting and drive working independently
• Manage requirement meetings and share updated from meetings
• Applies an agile approach on all level of his work
• Supports UAT by validating requirements and system functionalities

Expertise
• Improves systems by studying current practices, designing modifications.
• Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements.
• Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
• Prepares GAP analysis, Exec documents, white papers and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Document any identified required changes and communicate them to the relevant third parties/colleagues.
• Ability to working with all department resources and levels to enabling the organisations to meet their goals.
• Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation & training staff in how to use new systems where required.
Technical Knowledge
• Good knowledge in collaboration and documenting tools.
• Good technical knowledge to understand complexity of systems however ability to code is not required.
• Always seek ongoing technical improvements as technologies and customer behaviour develops.

Business Analysis:

• Excellent Written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills to deliver best in class user stories
• Determines objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Analyse system and business process requirements; construct workflow charts and diagrams; study system capabilities; write specifications
People
• Work seamlessly with other members of the eCommerce team to provide support down to brands/ campaigns to ensure that projects are delivered in line with set processes and procedures, and in accordance with regional strategies, goals, and objectives.
• Fully committed team player with autonomy skills and hanger of learning and developing.

EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Key Skills
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as Business Analyst or a similar role
• Candidates with Magento / Acquia / IBM / Oracle experience preferred/Any eCommerce technology
• Product management experience across product life cycle
• Good stakeholder management and strong interpersonal communication both in technical and customer streams with a high standard of written and spoken English
• You will have a positive and consumer first and product mindset combined with a strong interest & enthusiasm for eCommerce; must seek and deliver low hanging fruit opportunities.
• Outstanding analytical skills & attention to detail - must be solutions orientated.
• Experience collaborating very closely with product development and engineers or in a technology related environment.

Preferred Skills
• Understanding of website technologies and an awareness of website development language
• Working knowledge of front-end tech HTML, CSS, and Java as a bonus
• Retail ecommerce experience.
• Preferable relevant degree or professional qualification.
• Preferable experience of MENA (Middle East & North Africa) markets.
