Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Manager

Middle East SALARY: 30,000 AED - 35,000 AED PER: Month TERM: Permanent

Our client is looking for a CRO Manager based in Dubai.  

The candidate is analytical, a problem-solver with excellent communication skills to ensure the programme is aligned with our agreed objectives to deliver high impact conversion results.

This role
• Works closely with the Head of CRO to deliver the agreed strategy
• Customer-centric, revenue-driven and a true optimiser by heart
• Owns the experimentation roadmap and end to end programme focusing on excelling conversion revenue across our brand portfolio and markets.

• Technical and data insights savvy, well organized and able to lead, set up and analyze experiments.

• Excellent people management and communication skills to form strong relationships with the brand stakeholders, the role will drive all communication and reporting bringing exposure to the conversion results and program visibility across business units.
• Exceptional project management – from planning to delivery. Accountable for continuously monitor and report as the key point of contact for all CRO projects.
• Ensures CRO projects and platform enhancements are delivered efficiently on time, providing tangible ROI and meeting our quality standards including QA, stability, and security.
• Team mentorship and oversight of direct report (CRO Officer)
• Owns relevant external supplier relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Conversion Programme Management
• Own the CRO program - Taking new product development processes from conception to launch.
• Set up and run A/B and multivariate tests coordinating set-up, QA and results communication.
• Own and develop the product roadmap, intake and delivery process through a framework that manages the product backlog with a best-in-class process enabling cross-team contribution, rigorous requirement gathering and prioritisation.
• Create test plans, according to objectives and statistical significance, reporting back on CRO tests performance against targets
• Liaise between customer value and technical trade-offs to establish technical solutions that are viable and effective owning external relationships to establish scope and commercial feasibility for each project
• Work closely with digital product managers from insight, creation, documentation and priority of the hypothesis that will drive revenue growth.
• Establish agile world class processes to facilitate our workflow, communication always seeking to improve ways of working and support the alignment, scalability, and capacity of the team.

CRO Product Development
• Lead a multi-disciplined group of practitioners to help realise conversion results
• Present and run regular show and tell sessions to make sure the team is up to speed with all optimisation activities
• Work closely with designers, project managers and delivery teams to ensure clear planning, testing and successful deployment of projects including integration and hand over.
• Cross departmental stakeholder management and requirements gathering.

Business Analysis
• Interpret customer data, applying knowledge of web analytics and user segments as they relate to the optimization, experimentation and personalisation process.
• Keep up to date with industry developments, best practice, consumer experience research and new technologies.
• Gather ideas and build concepts for CRO activity using a data-driven approach
• Research and present opportunities working with data, insights and relevant business units to identify key areas for improvement and optimisation.
• Work with CRO officer to create data visualisations to communicate test results to internal stakeholders and bring them on board our roadmap.
• Determine potential impact and suitability of all projects according to rigorous impact benchmark and business needs.
• Measure and report on effectiveness of each initiative and tests against planned KPIs
• From the back of active monitoring. Trigger analysis for experiments of concern and enable change management on successful experiment roll out.

Operations
• Be commercially focused and drive conversion through experimentation.
• Responsible for day-to-day stakeholder account management communications and written updates for the internal and external teams managing workload within allocated timeframe.
• Manage the CRO strategic customer experience for each brand platforms and markets
• Work closely with development and to ensure that all solutions are feasible, optimised and secure.
• Always seek ongoing technical improvements as technologies and customer behaviour develop.

Reporting and Insight
• Defining KPIs, creating reporting frameworks and instigating best practice methodologies.
• Clear strategy/approach for MVT/AB testing which delivers a statistically significant conclusion in terms of test/control result and therefore Test next action strategy (‘roll-out’ ‘kill’ ‘iterate’).
• Deliver innovative insights and actionable outputs.

People
• Manage external provider relationships wherever necessary to deliver CRO initiatives
• Work with all eCommerce team members to provide support down to project level and to ensure that initiatives are delivered in line with set processes and procedures and hit our targets.
• Mentoring, supporting, and training junior team members and new hires
• Nurture, motivate and mange direct reports to ensure they deliver their best work
• A proactive approach and can-do attitude seeking regularly new ways to improve process and spread CRO knowledge

EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Key Skills
• Multi-year, demonstrable experience of developing CRO strategies in an optimisation function with the ability to build and sustain a CRO program
• 4+ years’ experience as a CRO manager or similar role with industry standard A/B and MVT technologies (Optimizely, AB Tasty, Dynamic Yield, Maximiser, Adobe Target, etc.)
• A keen eye for detail and highly technical person
• Expert use of CRO analytics experience and personalisation platforms, eg Content square/Hotjar, Dynamic Yield, Alogia etc.
• Expert use of data analytics platforms Google Analytics, Adobe analytics, Power BI, looker etc
• Excellent understanding of all digital KPIs controlling performance, ROI and ultimately OI.
• Background in Project management, analytics, trade, dev or UX design
• Experience in AB/multivariate testing processes working experience with in-house and external providers
• Create the Product Roadmap, framework, pipelines, specifications, and define deliverables
• Proven team leadership experience
• An effective and confident communicator (written and oral) with excellent stakeholder management skills, you can distil technical concepts and details to others in a language that they will understand and can easily build rapport with people.
• Self-motivated, disciplined and autonomous
• Understanding of website technologies and an awareness of website development and coding is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong internal networks and achieve goals through collaboration
• Familiar with segmentation, audience-based testing and personalisation.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of how to manage CRO programs and a passion for creating a conversion and customer-oriented user experiences
• Previous eCommerce or retail experience.

Preferred Skills
• Relevant degree or professional qualification.
• Experience of using marketing research tools
• Experience of MENA markets.
