Business Developer – UK ROLE

London (City of) SALARY: £70,000 - £80,000 PER: Annum TERM: Permanent

My client is looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Developer with a strong background in financial services and fundraising. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and nurturing relationships within the financial sector, with a focus on raising funds for hedge funds or alternative investments. As a Business Developer, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and expanding our investor network. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, a deep understanding of financial markets, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive environment. Fluency in Arabic is preferred, as it will be advantageous in engaging with clients and investors in the Middle East region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities for the hedge fund.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with investors, financial institutions, family offices, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in fund raising activities, including preparing pitch materials, conducting presentations, and negotiating terms with potential investors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop marketing materials and strategies to promote the hedge fund's offerings.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to inform business development strategies.
  • Represent the hedge fund at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance visibility and attract potential investors.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities to CEO.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, fundraising, or sales within the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully raising funds for hedge funds, private equity firms, or other alternative investment vehicles.
  • Extensive network of contacts within the financial industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
