Luxembourg SALARY: €70,000 - €80,000 PER: Annum TERM: Permanent
Are you an experienced Luxembourg based Accountant looking to make the next step in your career? This is a highly interesting finance opportunity with a renowned private equity firm in central Luxembourg. Our client is a dynamic, mid-market private equity firm with offices in Luxembourg, London and other European cities. We are looking for a professional and driven candidate to join their close-knit team. This role has an interesting range of responsibilities and great progression potential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
As an integral part of the finance team you will deliver a range of objectives to ensure that the day to day finance function runs smoothly with a high level of accuracy and delivery on deadlines. You will look after entitles based in both Luxembourg and across other areas of Europe. Your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Review of monthly portfolio company and management accounts
- Liaising with the teams in international offices to ensure a steady flow of information and timely delivery of work
- Working closely with external auditors and administrators
- Preparing financial statements and preparation for audit
- Calculation and maintenance of recharge arrangements
- Cashflow management and forecasting, invoicing & payments
- Liaising with partners on allocation of funds and management of debt facilities
Key Competencies and Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in Accounting, preferably related to alternative investment funds / private equity funds and/or audit in Luxembourg
- Strong English communication skills both verbal and written (any additional European languages a bonus)
- Understanding of Lux GAAP and IFRS
- Methodical; excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Enthusiastic and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Excellent project management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
