Accountant

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 pa.

Tiger is partnered a fourth-generation dynamic family-owned company, offers one of the nation’s most comprehensive portfolios of imported wines and spirits, including over 50 suppliers from around the globe. With the crucial collaboration with partners, they can meet the needs of every level of the industry, from independent restaurants and retail stores, to chain accounts, supermarkets, hotels, airlines, cruise ships, duty-free accounts, and U.S. military bases. They are currently looking for an Accountant with a strong background in all aspects of accounting.

Responsibilities

• Bank Reconciliations
• Monthly analysis of all Balance sheet and P&L Accounts
• Preparation of monthly accrual, recurring journal entries
• Monthly/Yearly Financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss) preparation
• Sales taxes filing on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis
• Maintenance of Fixed Assets schedule
• Monthly allocations and inter-company reconciliations
• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Recommend ways to reduce costs
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency

Qualifications & Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting required
• 5 years of work experience in Accounting
• Winery experience required
• Knowledge of Accounting Systems (Elite, Cognos) and T&E (Concur) is preferred
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Strong communication, both written and verbal
• Understands importance of accuracy and timeliness/deadlines
• Ability to work independently and in a dynamic, high energy, team-oriented atmosphere
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft office and Quickbooks
• Industry knowledge a plus
