Credit Officer
My client is an International Bank based in Zurich, who offer offers Lombard loans, Mortgages as well as corporate credit facilities to its clients .
You will work in the Risk Management Department of a small team focused on providing excellent service to their internal and external stakeholders. In this role, your main responsibility will be to provide expertise on credit requests and assure a proper documentation of credit files.
What will you do?
- approve, administer and review credit facilities and loan commitments
- ensure adherence to existing policy guidelines
- prepare adequate documentation to ensure security of collateral
- examine loan documentation on a wide variety of loans and loan commitment applications for adequacy and completeness
- assist with underwriting, analyzing, structuring, prescreening and approvals
- identify deteriorating trends in credit quality and suggest downgrades as necessary
- monitor specifically identified credits for concerns or problems as assigned
- communicate with the business on these matters independently
- Provide regular reporting to the senior management committees
You have:
- at least 5 years of experience in a similar position with relevant credit risk experience, preferably within Private, Wholesale, or Corporate Banking
- top rate financial analysis skills and solid experience in performing due diligence and counterparty analysis
- strong ability to identify, analyze, summarize, derive conclusions and provide relevant recommendations on a variety of credit issues
- strong organizational skills with a very good ability to prioritize multiple tasks and requests simultaneously while maintaining a precise and efficient work approach
- excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (German and/ or French a definite plus).

- The ideal candidate has prior experience working with the core banking system Avaloq and brings fresh ideas to the table on how to report on the credit portfolio. You have structured Lombard and mortgage credits in a private banking environment. Prior experience with corporate loans is a plus.
